Recent Activities

At the Evans City Borough Council Meeting held on Thursday, February 7, the Evans City Lions Club presented a check to the EDCO Park Board. These funds were raised during the 4th Annual Chili Open held in January, from which a total of approximately $4,500 was raised to benefit the Park.

Representing a wonderful collaboration between local businesses, civic organizations, residents, and visitors, this annual event has quickly become the premier winter sports event in Evans City.

This year, approximately 100 golfers joined us playing golf in the snow.  Inside the enclosed pavilion (thank you Swiss Construction!) a Chinese Auction of wonderous variety tempted those who were eating free chili and fixins' along with some Wonderful desserts.

This year's event raised $600 more than the 3rd Chili Open, and the Evans City Lions Club is looking forward to the 5th in 2014!

Since 1952, the Evans City Lions club has supported the Evans City community 
through service projects, and through our support of local charitable organizations. 
Our membership has grown over the years, but we are always looking for more 
civic-minded people to join us so that we may do more.
